We are seeking proposals for site-responsive art installations with the theme “Awaken” to be displayed in vacant storefront windows in downtown Olympia from April through July 2025. This is a unique opportunity for artists to showcase their creativity in a public space while receiving a $500 stipend for their work.

Erika Naficy, owner of 3rd Hand Artist Support, joined us in 2022 as the Art in Olympia Storefronts Program Manager, dedicating her Thursdays to assisting the organization. Erika brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her role, having worked in local Washington galleries and museums. Her expertise in managing exhibitions and installations for the Alliance is invaluable, and her grassroots efforts directly support Olympia artists in meaningful ways.

Olympia Artspace Alliance sent a survey to the candidates running for Port Commission, Olympia School Board and County Commissioner to find out their impression of the arts in Olympia and what they believe the City’s role is in supporting the arts.
