Title: “Landscape Fragments”
“water is memory” Eduard Glissant quotes David Wolcott in the beginning of Poetics of Relation. this land, we are guests on. disrupting. quickly, and quietly. nonchalantly. this space. steeped in hegemonic thought and gesture. movement of the past, never quieting nor slowing down into the current. misplaced or displaced? in disrupting the space which holds this disrupted place, engraved in hegemony, we are slowly, and loudly, with nonchalant grandeur, are beginning to erase the marks. as a denial of the current set off course. as a rejection of the bestowed kingdom and dominance. in the water. on the water. the vessel of memory. leaning into the place which is steeped in memory, on the shores of the salish sea, the bottom of the body.
