Support Our Give Local Campaign

OAA is a volunteer-run organization made possible through sponsorships, grants, and the generosity of individuals like you. If you feel moved to support our work, please consider making a tax-deductible donation during Give Local. We’re so grateful for your support!

Olympia artists need space to create and share their work.

We work to create space and opportunities for individual artists in the South Puget Sound through grant making, paid opportunities to share and curate their work, through mentorship, and by creating opportunities for connection and networking.

We work to support and provide opportunity for artists in the South Puget Sound.

Our mission is to preserve, develop, and advocate for affordable live, work, and exhibition space for artists in Olympia, Washington, and we are committed to compensating artists, while also building a culture of entrepreneurship and access to the arts. Since 2019 we have supported 97 local artists, more than 1,000 student artists, and paid $79,000 in stipends to support their work.

The OAA runs several year-round programs and hosts annual opportunities for local artists to share their work, to apply for studio-space grants, to attend free artist mingles, and much more.

Help us nurture and grow the arts in the South Puget Sound!

The Olympia Artspace Alliance values art as a powerful medium of change to create a healthy, vibrant, and more equitable community. And we know that artists need space: space to create, space to exhibit their work, space to rehearse, and space to connect. Your support helps artists find and connect with creative space and ensures artists can continue to work and thrive in the years to come.

“Like most artists, I need studio space where I can do serious work. My work thrives when I have flexible space, uninterrupted time, and a place where I can repeatedly return — all of which acknowledges and supports the importance of the effort.”

— Jean Mandeberg, Artist
